Showing prices
Your application can use EuniPay's currency settings to show prices in the customer's payment currency. This keeps browsing prices and checkout easier to understand.
Choose how prices include VAT
Choose whether your listed prices include VAT or have VAT added at checkout.
- VAT included: the listed amount already includes any VAT due.
- VAT added: any VAT due is added to the listed amount.
Use the same choice in the price display and payment setup. Changing the wording alone does not change the calculation.
Keep the display consistent
Use the currency, rate, and display format configured for the Integration across your application. Refresh displayed prices after updated settings are loaded; do not simply change the currency symbol.
Your developer connects these settings to your application's displayed prices. The API reference describes the currency and display values available to the backend.
For a complete example without creating a payment, follow Calculate VAT and convert prices. It shows the requests, returned amounts, and what to display on your page.
When a price is only an estimate
A price shown before checkout is not proof of the customer's VAT treatment. Billing details and required checks determine the final payment total.
A default currency can help show a price when a supported local currency is unavailable, but it does not supply missing country information.
See Currencies and rates to change your settings and VAT and the payment total to understand checkout.
